It seems that Thanksgiving comes at the perfect time of year. The long stretch of fall reaches its climax in a joyous celebration. The idea of turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean casseroles and pie makes our stomachs growl in anticipation.
But what makes Thanksgiving even more splendid than the food is the warmth and gratitude we feel among our friends and family. To gather with loved ones to give thanks is truly what makes this holiday a special celebration.
What are you thankful for this year? Weekend TODAY wants to see your Thanksgiving pictures! Snap a family shot, a special moment or even pie portrait. Submit your photos to TODAY's Life Illustrated or using Twitter #MyLifeToday.
Take a look at what some of our viewers are doing to prepare for the holiday:

Jan Schroeder

I tried to watch the segment on the Chief but as usual I was disappointed with the segment. You women were talking over your guest and not giving him a chance to speak. Seems to me you do this a lot. I don't like your show for that reason. You two are too busy talking to each other and the audience doesn't get a chance to hear your guest. I'm disappointed in your show and won't watch.
