Where can you get the Sony Cyber shot WX70 for $70? The video doesn't mention a vendor

Where do you find the Sony camera?

      #1.1 - Mon Nov 26, 2012 9:52 AM EST

Hey Today Show - where can we buy the Sony camera shown this morning? It's only a one day deal so please let us know quickly!

        #1.2 - Mon Nov 26, 2012 10:24 AM EST

the sony cameras are sold out.

          #1.3 - Mon Nov 26, 2012 10:35 AM EST

Today's Show messed up BIG TIME. First, they didn't mention the seller for SONY WX-70, and second, there is no such deal for Sony camera. I hope Today's show reimburse us for their MISTAKE. Stop misguiding people.

Looks like they were wrong about the Asus laptop. It's not $230. It's $230 off. So it's $419.99. Big mistake for such a big news organization.

Yeah, I found the same thing and was really bummed. I agree, my first thought was that they should pay more attention.

Really wanted to get this laptop for son for Christmas, very bummed out now. If anyone knows where you can find a good deal one please let me know. That is all he wants for christmas since all the other kids has one and he doesn't. Soooo not fair on this price, wish we could make them honor what they advertised!!!

At first, excitement - I can afford this! Then, disappointment. At least, they cut out the goof from the online segment........too bad for Staples - loss of sales!

            #2.3 - Mon Nov 26, 2012 10:33 AM EST

@SueAJ - Too bad for Today, not for Staples... bet they got a LOT of hits on their site they wouldn't have otherwise.

At least I don't have to suddenly put this on my card.

              #2.4 - Mon Nov 26, 2012 10:48 AM EST

Yes, it is disappointing but there are some good deals still out there. If you are looking for laptop deals Amazon is a good place to look. I saw an Asus for $299 and a Samsung Chrome Notebook for $249.

                #2.5 - Mon Nov 26, 2012 11:54 AM EST

After listening to your show, I thought I found the laptop I have been hoping to purche this year. Wow...what a mess up! Clearly, your expert was misinformed. and I am sad to see that the laptop was not $230 but over $400.

                  #2.6 - Mon Nov 26, 2012 12:08 PM EST

I bought that laptop at Best Buy this weekend. It was the pink one they advertised for Black Friday but they still had some on Sat afternoon. It was $249.00 and I was surprised they had any left. I don't know if they have them for Cyber Monday but it's worth a try. Also they have another Asus computer, looks similar and has similar specs for $350.

If you're looking for an affordable laptop try the Samsung Chromebook, the Google laptop, it runs $250 when it isn't on sale. They just introduced an Acer version for $199.00. It's not as pretty as the aluminum one but it's not bad for $200. They had them at my Best Buy in Roseville MN.

The ASUS laptop featured on TODAY IS NOT on sale for $230. The price is $230 off for $419. This is very poor reporting by your "expert".

I just looked at staples.com for the deal on the laptop and it was not for $230 it was actually just $230 off so laptop was over $400!

I believe the price given on air for the Asus laptop is incorrect. It was stated that the laptop was regularly $649.00, now $230.00 at Staples.com. However on Staples.com it is listed regularly $649.99, now $419.99, with a SAVINGS of $230.00. Can somebody check on this???

Wow.. another mistake.. The camera is likely a reference to the one on newegg.com - for $70 OFF - not selling for $70. -

NBC - I think you need to run a correction on air.. these are horrible mistakes.

I think the Today Show should offer us all a voucher towards a camera or laptop purchase. I looked for over an hour for the $70 camera and when I couldn't find it, went back to get a comparable one only to find the company sold out - so now, no camera at all.

The Today show does not owe you anything. They are not selling products, so they have no liability. They just have a bad research dept. If Staples advertised a laptop for $230, then you can complain.

The cost you advertise for the laptop on Staples.com is NOT $230. The savings is $230. The actual cost of the laptop you advertise is $419.99.
